life coaching
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” - Mahatma Gandhi
Life coaching is a practice with the aim of helping clients determine and achieve personal goals. The coach may apply mentoring, values assessment, behavior modification, goal setting and other techniques in helping you. Coaching is not targeted at psychological illnesses, but at increasing your ability to live your life to its fullest in all areas.
HOW A COACH CAN HELP YOU
The life coaching practice has three phases:
1. To clarify what you want
2. To map out an action plan to get what you want, and;
3. To support you in realization of the vision, goal or dream.
I believe people possess their own answers to their individual challenges. My work with you as a coach would entail helping you clarify your desires, wishes and goals, and to empower you to achieve them. The coach helps to bridge the gap between “here” and “there.”
Managing the doubts, fears and the “I can’ts” is an essential role of the coach. Acting as a sounding board, mirroring, and simply having belief in your innate ability to achieve your goals are other important roles of the coach. Having a coach as a “check-in” can keep you accountable to your personal and professional goals. These checks and balances aid in goal acquisition.
